Sierra-Cascade grows the plants, then sells them to fruit growers once they reach a certain size and before they flower. They need to track the plants all the way through the process from harvest to warehouse, to cutting and shipping. Edlund Company is responsible for developing and manufacturing innovative, operator-oriented stainless steel equipment for harsh food service environments. To keep track of all of the equipment and parts used, Edlund conducts a two-day physical inventory cycle count at the end of each fiscal year. These cycle counts were very time consuming and burned a lot of unnecessary labor hours. EuroExpress has selected a version of MobileFrame’s proof of delivery application. EuroExpress, a Europian based organization of haulers and couriers, will be using MobileFrame’s home delivery application for truck pickup inventory from a warehouse, then delivery and assembly of the furniture at the customer’s location. Prior to adopting MobileFrame’s platform, EuroExpress’ system for collecting such data was proven costly and ineffective. This is expected to be the first phase of a large deployment that will be rolled out as new warehouse distribution centers are loaded.
