Sierra-Cascade Nursery Standardizes on MobileFrame’s Mobile Application Platform

Sierra-Cascade Nursery, Inc. was founded in 1977, with headquarters located in rural Susanville, California and is engaged primarily in growing high-elevation strawberry plants which are sold to fruit growers in central and southern California. Sierra-Cascade grows the plants, then sells them to fruit growers once they reach a certain size and before they flower. They need to track the plants all the way through the process from harvest to warehouse, to cutting and shipping. Examples of the data they need to collect in the field include the species type, the ranch where they were grown and the date harvested.
Although Sierra-Cascade already had a mobile app deployed to some users, they were looking for a solution that was more stable, with better data management capabilities. Rather than sending all data to all users, they wanted to subset their data by sending only the right data to the right user. MobileFrame’s Dynamic Data was designed specifically for this purpose and was the perfect solution to the problem.
The company has an extensive list of apps to deploy over time, include time tracking, equipment and fuel tracking, packaging data and Bill of Lading tracking. All of the data collected will be integrated to their business system so that the entire staff will have a seamless solution, making their work more efficient.
