Sierra-Cascade Nursery, Inc. was founded in 1977, with headquarters located in rural Susanville, California and is engaged primarily in growing high-elevation strawberry plants which are sold to fruit growers in central and southern California.  Sierra-Cascade grows the plants, then sells them to fruit growers once they reach a certain size and before they flower. They need to track the plants all the way through the process from harvest to warehouse, to cutting and shipping. The Islander Group has chosen MobileFrame to automate their sales order entry.  Prior to adopting MobileFrame, the Islander Group was using a rudimentary sales order entry application that only allowed for entry of minimal information, could not be easily changed and did not allow real-time connectivity.  In addition to a more robust sales order entry application, The Islander Group also plans to build a warehouse application.  After evaluating several mobility solutions, The Islander Group was confident that MobileFrame’s mobility platform would best suit their needs.
